From environmental simulations and electrical testing to EMC measurements, we offer a comprehensive range of testing options. We hold ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and thus fulfil all applicable safety standards and stand ready to assist you as a dependable partner. Our specialists analyse and evaluate measurement data and document the results in informative test reports.

Together, we’ll work to create the key technologies of tomorrow. Our developers create software architectures for control devices, master model-based software development and offer you support in relation to embedded software engineering. In all our work, we focus on sustainable development methods, follow agile processes and systematically implement the requirements of the ISO 26262 standard. We’ll assist you with advice and support from the initial idea through to its implementation and stand ready to assist you even beyond this as a dependable partner. Our developers’ expertise ranges from the development of tools and frameworks to methods and process development. We use programming languages such as Python, C++ and QT and specialise in Eclipse plugins.

Short development cycles demand the use of future-oriented methods in functional development. Benefit from our years of expertise in electronics development as well as our ASAP experts’ deep understanding of systems. By applying rapid prototyping systems, we are able to experience vehicle functions at first hand at an early stage in their development. We implement your conceptual ideas quickly, flexibly and without complications, thereby accelerating research and development processes. Using established tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and ASCET, we offer tailored, model-based functional development services. We combine classic development methods with automated testing, analyse measurement data and ensure the proper applications of vehicle functions.

Individual vehicle components need to satisfy strict quality requirements throughout their service life. In our test labs, we can verify and validate individual components, modules and entire systems and vehicles for you. Our specialists have profound and concentrated expertise in the field of electronic components. We offer support in relation to test specifications and test automation and oversee the development and assembly of test systems on your behalf. Using software such as the vector tool environment, we verify and validate functions according to your specific requirements.

Long-term automation technology.

In light of the disproportionate increase in vehicle functions and their rising level of complexity, test automation offers a decisive advantage in development processes. We offer advice and support based on our years of expertise in the field of automation technology. From requirement management and test case definition to the long-term implementation of fully automated testing, ASAP offers everything from a single source. To facilitate long-term test automation, our engineers have developed an individual software solution with precise image and text recognition that tests all information displays in automated processes. This makes it possible to test millions of display variants with a high level of automation – in navigation functions, for example. Our ASAP specialists test driver warnings and messages on the basis of customer-relevant factors such as prioritisation, display time and acoustics. Detailed reporting completes our service portfolio. With our expertise in test automation and the modern tools at our disposal, we accelerate development cycles and optimise the quality of your products.

Development | Validation of ambient lighting.

A door opens, the lights come on. It might sound simple but, in the world of electronics development, it’s a complex task. Our engineers create datasets for all light modules installed in the vehicle and help you to validate them. In addition to the functional validation of light modules, our ASAP specialists validate the RGB LED modules in ambient lighting systems. By developing a new test bench and implementing the required test automation, we ensure markedly higher test coverage in no time at all. Our automated testing systems determine whether the RGB LED gamut – that is, the entirety of colours the module can display within the CIE Norm Valent System – is actually properly displayed.

ASAP software reduces the development time for HUD concepts.

The introduction of head-up displays offers major potential to improve driving safety. To achieve this, however, individual functions need to meet high requirements and must not distract the driver or overload them with information. This makes UX and usability studies essential. A proprietary development from ASAP is now helping to overcome a major challenge for the automotive sector – namely the fact that, until now, it was not possible to evaluate head-up displays before the first hardware prototype was installed in a vehicle. This wasted valuable development time. The new ASAP software makes it possible to experience and evaluate HUD concepts using the Microsoft HoloLens – from the start of the conceptual phase. Beyond saving customers money, it also saves time and helps to ensure an optimal user experience for the driver. Combined with a mixed-reality headset, this software facilitates precise positioning of the virtual image during the drive. The aim is to obtain UX and usability insights at an early stage and incorporate them in vehicle development at an early stage.

The challenge of autonomous driving.

Validating software functions in vehicles with a high degree of automation presents new challenges for the automotive industry. 1,000,000,000 – this is the volume of theoretically possible traffic situations that an autonomous vehicle needs to master. This multiplicity of scenarios simply cannot be tested manually. We use virtual methods to assist you with the validation of autonomous driving functions. At an early development stage, our ASAP developers use automated processes to test your functions in a virtual world. This allows us to validate driving functions in a wider range of scenarios and reduce the need for cost-intensive prototypes.
