VEHICLE DEVELOPMENT.

Digital and virtual development processes are the focus of our services in product lifecycle management. In terms of mechanical engineering too, we support the requirements-based realisation of components and manufacturing processes and systems. Designing and modifying prototypes, development mules and pre-series vehicles at our automotive technical centre is also part of our service spectrum, which is rounded off by vehicle testing. When it comes to vehicle testing, we oversee the validation of functions in test vehicles, conduct a wide array of automotive testing and provide crucial, fundamental data for the qualitative development of series products. 

PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT.

As a consulting partner, we provide support from the initial idea through to the implementation of continuous product lifecycle management (automotive PLM). We offer the full spectrum of services, ranging from analysing the system landscape, tools and processes to concept development, evaluation and piloting through to roll-out. In addition, we offer associated services such as coaching and training. Our operational data management processes ensure that all data is recorded and provided in full and without errors. Where necessary, we act as a central data provider in order to guarantee data consistency. We also advise on the implementation of a synchronous PLM system and thereby lay the foundations for building digital twins.

Rafael Leluschko

Rafael - Project Manager.

After successfully completing an industrial engineering degree with a specialist focus on mechanical engineering, in 2012 Rafael accepted a change management role at the Audi pressing plant. Since 2017, his focus has shifted to business analysis in relation to product lifecycle management and the digital factory. His team of business analysts works closely with customers’ stakeholders to identify potential improvements. Rafael’s remit also includes supporting management-level strategic decision-making by OEM customers. What makes his role as a business analyst so special is how varied his work is. “At ASAP, we have the opportunity to work on crucial, key topics of digitalisation in industrial companies, such as the use of cloud technologies, digital twins and virtual reality.” His team is currently cooperating closely with renowned automotive manufacturers and systems suppliers to promote their digitalisation through the use of selected technologies. Agile working, which ASAP promotes with regular training, is front and centre in their work.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.

In our CAD engineering activities, we support a vehicle’s development from the design phase through to series maturity. Acting in accordance with all applicable standards, we take care of the conceptual design, modelling and visualisation of products, whilst also ensuring efficient data management. We use tools such as Catia, Siemens NX and Creo and develop intelligent solutions tailored to our customers’ specific requirements. We provide support as specialists in the areas of bodywork, interiors, exteriors and equipment design.

Masoud – Head of CAD and Wire Harness Engineering.

Future-focused design engineering: As the head of CAD Engineering, Masoud and his team are involved in designing next-generation automobiles. One particular focus of his work is vehicle interiors. “Interiors are undergoing a transformation. In the future, passenger space will become a living space; the trend is towards lifestyle and work environments.” This development requires new concepts focusing in particular on the cockpit and seats. “Creativity and innovative solutions will be particularly important, as the designs for each component will have to satisfy new requirements.” Masoud pursues project objectives and budget targets, manages resources and often makes customer visits – all of which will continue to require innovative solutions.

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICAL CENTRE.

Designing and modifying prototypes, development mules and pre-series vehicles is at the heart of our activities at our Automotive Technical Centre. We also select and integrate the appropriate measurement technology. Our automotive engineering specialists develop and implement updates for vehicle hardware and software components in relation to the megatrends of e-mobility and autonomous driving. Vehicle commissioning is a key focus of this work.

Michael – Director of the Automotive Technical Centre.

Michael has always wanted to help shape innovative technologies in new generations of cars. As director of the Automotive Technical Centre at our Ingolstadt site, he pursues this ambition every single day. Having joined ASAP as a development engineer in 2012, the automotive engineering graduate can look back on a stellar career to date. As well as supporting him through a Master’s course alongside his work, ASAP has facilitated Michael’s professional development with internal development programmes, such as the talent promotion and management development programmes. Michael’s team is responsible for designing and modifying pre-series vehicles, development mules and prototypes.

DRIVE TESTING.

In terms of automotive drive testing, we take care of all planning and logistics services for global test drives, including all customs and planning formalities. In addition to first-level and second-level support, we can also produce driving profiles and driving scenarios, supervise measurement technology and carry out endurance test drives and functional testing. We collect and provide ADAS/AD environmental data and take care of all labelling activities to facilitate the validation of driver-assistance systems.
