Biography

Michael Neisen has been Chairman of the Management Board of the ASAP Group since January 2010. After studying automotive technology with a particular focus on bodywork construction at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, he began his career in 1990 as a bodywork developer at a large engineering firm in Heilbronn. A few years later, he became branch manager in Ingolstadt and, in 2000, was appointed Managing Director. In 2002, he also become Managing Director of the Heilbronn/Neckarsulm branch.

Biography

Gernot Joswig started his professional career by founding his own IT company. He later worked as a line manager with responsibility for personnel and budget at gedas, an IT service provider owned by VW. Today, Gernot Joswig has over 30 years of experience in IT, more than 20 of them in the automotive industry. In the course of his career to date, he has founded and managed two IT/engineering companies. As co-founder of ITConcepts Automotive GmbH, Gernot Joswig most recently served as its managing partner after the sale of the company. Since July 2023, Gernot Joswig has strengthened the management of the ASAP Group as Managing Director of ASAP Engineering GmbH Wolfsburg.

Biography

Robert Morgner has strengthened ASAP Group management since becoming Managing Director of ASAP Holding GmbH in July 2016. Holding a degree in business administration, he is responsible for the central Finance, HR, Marketing/Corporate Communications and Quality Management departments. Morgner previously spent 13 years at development service provider ESG, where he first served as Head of Central Controlling before becoming Head of the Automotive Division and a member of the Management Board in 2012. Additionally, he joined the management of the ASAP Engineering GmbH Weissach, ASAP Engineering GmbH Rüsselsheim as well as ASAP Engineering GmbH Bodensee as CFO.

Robert Werner has been Managing Director of ASAP Engineering GmbH Ingolstadt since 2010. After studying mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, he worked as a developer and project manager for roof systems at AUDI AG. From 2002 to 2004, he worked as a design team leader at an engineering partner to the automotive industry in Ingolstadt and later became Head of Testing and Vehicle Safety.

Volker Schier has been Managing Director of ASAP Engineering GmbH Rhine-Main since November 2010. After studying automotive technology with a particular focus on bodywork and interior development at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, he worked in bodywork development at Ford-Werke GmbH in Cologne. In 1991, he became department manager for a major engineering firm, where he oversaw international operations as Managing Director and Key Account Manager until 2009. He co-founded the Automotive Cluster Rhein Main Neckar in 2003.

Biography

Christian Schweiger has been Managing Director of ASAP Electronics GmbH and ASAP Engineering GmbH Ingolstadt since January 2011. After training as an electrician in Manching, his positions included a role at Ferrostal MAN Maintenance Ingolstadt as a measurement and control technician. In 1999, he accepted a similar role at a major engineering firm in Ingolstadt. In 2006, he became a team leader and department manager for test systems and the development of special-purpose vehicles and vehicle safety.

Biography

Martin Ott began his career in 1999 as development engineer at a renowned system supplier, after training as an industrial electrician and getting his diploma in business engineering. In 2004, he started working for MBtech Group as consultant for the Daimler Group. As department manager he was re-sponsible in the field of hybrid and e-drive systems from 2008 to 2014. Prior to joining ASAP Martin Ott worked as senior head of department in the field of ‘Power train and chassis’ for the engineering company EDAG. Originally starting as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the ASAP Group, since August 2018 Martin Ott is COO of the ASAP Engineering GmbH Weissach and ASAP Engineering GmbH Bodensee since January 2021.

2022

With a total turnover of 150 million euros and growth above the industry average of 25 percent, the ASAP Group is continuing its success story. The strategy project 'Speed up - ASAP 2025', in the context of which the Group's key performance areas were specified, is thus showing its effect. Following the realignment, the range of services is now divided into five segments: Electrics/Electronics, Software, Consulting & Service, Testing and Vehicle Development. ASAP is also sharpening its strategic focus with two M&A transactions: on the one hand, ASAP is divesting itself of production-related services with a management buy-out and, on the other hand, the service area of wire harness development is being significantly expanded and strengthened with the integration of the Sigl Bordnetz Design GmbH.

2017

The ASAP group consequently broadened and refined its service portfolio. Its focus is on the future-oriented technologies of the automotive industry. By putting in charge the ASAP Engineering GmbH in Ingolstadt for the location in Neckarsulm, ASAP coordinates its activities regarding the customer Audi. The ASAP Technical Service expands its activities oriented towards the customer Audi and is operating in Neckarsulm as well as Ingolstadt. With the foundation of the ASAP Engineering GmbH Weissach the company group is focusing on the periphery of local OEMs.

2018

ASAP invests in its testing and trialling centre for high performance electric motors and expands its engineering competencies in the field of e-mobility. By moving into a new building in Weissach, ASAP brings its various services in this region together under one roof, thereby creating the prerequi-sites for further growth. With the ZF Friedrichshafen AG becoming a shareholder of the ASAP Holding GmbH with 35 per cent, the company group now has one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers at its side. Together both companies develop future-oriented mobility solutions.

2019

All signs point to further growth: new premises in Ingolstadt provide ASAP with 5000 square metres additional space for offices and its testing and trialling centre. The company group further invests in additional test benches for high performance e-motors and opens a new testing centre for e-mobility in Sachsenheim. Another new location is opened in Tettnang near Friedrichshafen in Baden-Wuerttemberg, thereby making ASAP and its strategic partner ZF Friedrichshafen AG closing their geographical distance. With a new office in Brussels ASAP invests in the cooperation with one of its key customers and their production facility.

2020

Despite the Corona pandemic ASAP continually invests in future oriented technologies and expands its capacities and consistency in the testing of e-motors. As a result of growth and the strategic direction of the company group the reorganisation of the management at the company’s location in Ingolstadt becomes necessary. Robert Werner takes on the key account BMW AG as well as the responsibility at ASAP for the division XA of ZF Friedrichshafen AG and therefore the management of the ASAP Munich location. Since then, the responsibility for the key account AUDI AG as well as the division E of ZF Friedrichshafen AG lies with Christian Schweiger.

2021

The largest total turnover in the company's history is achieved at 120 million euros. At the same time, the investment volume rises to 12 million euros. The focus remains on expanding ASAP's market position in the field of testing e-mobility. As part of the expansion of development and testing capacities, a test field for power electronics/inverters is being built in Ingolstadt and a new testing hall for the test and trial center in Wolfsburg. The latter serves to expand the test field for battery cells and modules. The year begins with the foundation of the new company ASAP Engineering GmbH Bodensee. A clear signal for the further intensification of the strategic partnership between ASAP and ZF Friedrichshafen AG.

CERTIFICATIONS AND ACCREDITATIONS.

Quality and a strong focus on our clients are integral elements of the ASAP philosophy and decisive factors in our success. As part of this commitment, we have secured DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification for the ASAP Group’s quality management system. As part of our corporate group’s strategic development, we are currently implementing integrated management systems focusing on occupational health and safety, energy and the environment. We are currently working to secure corresponding certification in accordance with the ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards. Our independent test and validation centers in Ingolstadt and Wolfsburg have also been certified by the German national accreditation body, DAkkS, in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018. As the operator of the Group’s central IT and information security management systems, ASAP Holding GmbH was also certified in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2017. Furthermore, ASAP Holding GmbH follows the information security assessment issued by the German Automotive Industry Association (VDA ISA). It has also obtained TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) certification. The TISAX assessment results have been published and are available to view in the ENX portal.
